Security Force Commander Visits To 51 Infantry Division

Commander Security Force - Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu made his first official visit to 51 Infantry Division Headquarters after assuming duties as the Commander Security Force - Jaffna on Saturday, 06 February 2021.

The Security Force Commander was warmly welcomed by the General Officer Commanding 51 Infantry Division and was accorded a drive pass at the main entrance. The visiting Security Force Commander addressed the troops at the gymnasium and emphasized the matters pertaining to camp security, discipline of officers and other ranks, work life balance and present Covid 19 situation in the country. The troop address was followed by planting a Mango sapling (Mangifera Indica), group photograph, briefing of the General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division and all ranks tea.

Later the Security Force Commander inspected the administrative function and supervised the meals provide to the Covid - 19 infected personnel in Kopay Intermediate Care Centre. Subsequently, Security Force Commander visited 513 Infantry Brigade, and declared open the newly constructed accommodation building for Senior Non Commissioned Officers. Then he inspected the Ammunition Dump located in 513 Infantry Brigade Headquarters and also visited 11th Battalion, Sri Lanka Light Infantry.

Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and troops of 51 Infantry Division also participated at the series of events.
