Chief of Defence Staff Meets Jaffna Resident Tri Service Veterans

During the Jaffna visit of the General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army together with Commander Security Force-Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu met a group of Jaffna-resident Tri service veterans in retirement and expressed deep gratitude to them by awarding gift parcels on account of the festive season on 12 April 2021. Further, he highly commended the veteran’s yesteryear duty commitment and dedication to the nation.

The representative retired tri service veterans, belonging to the Ex-servicemen's Association in Jaffna were delighted to meet Chief of Defence Staff at the Palaly Cantonment. During a cordial interaction they shared their past experiences. Afterward, Chief of Defence Staff wished them good health and longevity and this was followed a group of photograph with the Chief of Defence Staff and the Commander of the Army.

General Officers Commanding 51, 52 and 55 Divisions, Commander Forward Maintenance Area North, Brigadier General Staff and Brigadier Admin and Quartering of Security Force Headquarters Jaffna, Brigade Commanders, Senior Staff Officers of Security Force Headquarters Jaffna, Commanding Officers, Officers and troops were also present the occasion.
