Cricket Coaching Camp in Jaffna


A one-day Cricket Coaching Camp was organized by the 51 Division under the guidance and direction of the Security Forces Commander - Jaffna Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya in order to improve the skills and develop camaraderie among young cricket players in Northern Province, and to select exceptionally talented players to Sri Lanka Army Cricket Team. The coaching camp was conducted by a group of veteran cricketers in National Team and Army Team that included Captain Ajantha Mendis of Sri Lanka Artillery, a prominent cricket star. The programme was held at St. Patrick's College ground in Jaffna on 24 November 2019 with the participation of 75 Cricket players including both batsmen and bowlers form Cricket Clubs and School Teams in Northern Province.(Jaffna,Kilinochchi,Mulaitivu,Vavuniya,Mannar)
