Army Releases More Lands to Facilitate the Resettlement Process in the Jaffna Peninsula

The Army released another 4 acres and 70.4 perches of land and buildings on 06th September 2018 in order to expedite the resettlement process, particularly for the educational and communal development of the displaced personnel within the Jaffna Peninsula.

The Kaleimagal Maha Vidyala building along with its access road at Myliddy, the Multi Purpose Corporative Society (MPCS) building and Rural Development Society building and their lands at Kurumbasiddy, and an area at Anaikoddai were among the released property which were handed over to the Government Agent to be released towards its rightful owners.

The occasion of handing over the lands took place at Myliddy amidst the presence of the District Secretary - Jaffna, Mr. Nagalingam Vedanayahan, Commander Security Force - Jaffna, Major General Darshana Hettiarrachchi, Director of Education -Northern Province, Mr. Udaya Kumar, Principal of the Kaleimagal Maha Vidyalaya - Mrs. Sammuganathan Thamilselvi, other Government Officials and a number of Army personnel.
