Retired Warrant Officer Class II Kurushumuththu SP passed away

Retired Warrant Officer Class II Kurushumuththu SP of 1 Field Engineer Regiment, Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers who resided at 1st lane, Shivan street, Urumpirai East passed away on 24 June 2018. He retired from Sri Lanka Army after completing 22 years of Service.

The veteran Warrant Officer had joined the Sri Lanka Army on 26 June 1951 and was posted to 1 Field Engineer Regiment after successful completion of basic military training. He had been awarded with the Ceylon Armed Services Long Service Medal for his invaluable Service rendered to the motherland.

The final tribute for the late Warrant Officer was held at St. Michael's Church Public Cemetery, Ulumpirai with military honours amidst of his beloved family and relations on 26 June 2018. A large number of Army personnel including Commander Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna, Major General Darshana Hettiarrachchi were present at the funeral.
