Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna Takes Another Major Step Towards the Reconciliation Process in Collaboration with Daham Pahana

The Commander Security Force - Jaffna, Major General Dharshana Hettiarrachchi takes another major step towards the reconciliation process in Jaffna under the patronage of 'Daham Pahana' awarding 300 scholarships with Ran Kekulu Savings Accounts to students from low-income families to support their education for five years. The event was held at Ilankai Venthan Art College on 10 May 2018. In addition, 100 Bicycles, 7500 Coconut Seedlings, 20 Sewing Kits worth Rs. 20000.00 each and financial assistance providing Rs. 20000.00 each for 20 needy families to construct sanitary facilities were distributed in Jaffna on the same day. The donors also laid the cornerstone to construct a new house for an under privileged family in the area on 11 May 2018.

Religious Leaders, Brother Charles Thomas, Members of the Daham Pahana Foundation, Major General Roshan Senevirathne, many Senior Officers, Troops, and Civil Community including Donation Recipients (Student and Parents) from low-income families in Jaffna were present at the occasion.
