Sri Lanka Army Provided Assistance to Construct Another 30 Houses to Resettle Internally Displaced Persons

The government has made a special arrangement to provide a grant of Rs 400000.00 to buy a land and Rs 800000.00 to construct a house for each extended family that has been living in welfare centers during the last so many years. The Army troops serving in Jaffna peninsula provided assistance to the families those received grants from the government to construct their houses in Telippalei area. The assistance by Army troops gave a great relief to the house owners to save their money and spend on purchasing building materials.

Hon Mawei Senadhiraja MP handed over the houses to the house owners on 5th April 2018. Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake handed over 25 houses constructed by the Army at Keeramalei area to resettle the Internally Displaced Persons on 30 March 2018.
