Jaffna Food Festival Ended Successfully with Christmas Carols

Security Forces Headquarters Jaffna in coordination with 51 Division, organized the "Christmas Carols - 2017" on the final day of Jaffna Food Festival on 17 December 2017 in the premises of Muttavely ground.

Christmas Carols presented with yuletide extravaganza of music, dances and prayers enlightened the Jaffna People. This is an annual event in the Social Calendar of Security Forces - Jaffna that seeks the collaboration of the Catholic people who are living in the Jaffna peninsula. A choir consisting of Army Band and groups from Don Bosco College Jaffna, St. Michali Church, Urumpirai, and Mary's Youth Cathedral Jaffna, displayed great harmony with melodic notes which awaken the true spirit of Christmas.

The event was held at 07.00 p.m. with the attendance of Most Rev. Dr. Justin B Gnnanaprakasam, Bishop Jaffna, religious leaders, Major General Dharshana Hettiarachchi, Commander Security Forces - Jaffna and distinguished guests. Further, Most Rev. Dr. Justin B Gnnanaprakasam delivered the Christmas Massage at the occasion. Similarly, certificates and gifts awarding ceremony was held at the same occasion for the winners of the Jaffna Food Festival - 2017.
