Donations To Vidya Sivaloganathan's School

Mrs. Swineetha Weerasinghe, Mr. Nandalal Malagoda, Mr. Mohan Shankar and Mrs. Wadani Shankar donated bicycles, school bags, shoes, books and stationeries to all students of Pungudathivu Maha Vidyala in Jaffna on 25th November 2017 to mark the 21st birthday of Vidya Sivaloganathan.

Vidya Sivaloganathan was a student of Pungudathivu Maha Vidyala and she was raped and brutally murdered when she was going to the School on 13th May 2015 morning. Further, financial donations were also made to Vidya Sivaloganathan's mother by above mentioned donors. The event was organized by the Sri Lanka Army.

Mr. Mohan Shankar who attended above event arranged 10 scholarships to 10 deserving students to receive Rs 2500/= per month for their education requirements. Apart from the scholarships, Mr. Mohan Shankar made arrangements to renovate the football ground of Pungudathivu Maha Vidyala and also to purchase Football Boots to all Football players in above School since Pungudathivu Maha Vidyala has become the champions of Football tournament held in Jaffna district recently. The Football team of Pungudathivu Maha Vidyala has won the championship, although all players have played barefoot.
