has organized a free medical camp for civilians in 511 Brigade
area in collaboration with the 4th Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps
(4 SLAMC) on 6th Feb 2017 at Green Memorial Hospital, Manipay.
Free medical treatments
were offered to more than 200 civilians at the medical camp throughout
the whole day. Further, Counseling and free medical tests for
health check-up, diabetes, blood pressure, dental check-ups were
provided under the consultation of trained and well experienced
doctors. Medicines were also distributed at free of charge.
Seven Government doctors,
three staff members of Green Memorial Hospital, Lieutenant Colonel
Roshan Jayamanna, Commanding Officer 4 SLAMC and his troops volunteered
for the medical camp. Thus, medicines were also distributed at
the camp free of charge.
Society is an important
part of our lives. Therefore, its growth and upliftment is vital
for the betterment of its members. Realizing the importance of
healthy society, SF HQ (J) initiated in improving the health and
medical facilities of civilians in Jaffna.
Wickramasinghe, Commander 511 Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Sampath
Samarathunga, Commanding Officer 25th Battalion of Vijayabahu
Infantry Regiment ( 25 VIR), Major Mudiyanselage Ananda, Commanding
Officer 15th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard (15 SLNG) and
soldiers also participated in the event. At the end of the session
each patient received a packet of Anlene milk powder.
