Security Force Jaffna Celebrates 69th Independence Day

Celebration of 69th Independence Day was successfully held under the theme "National Unity" at the Galle Face Green in Colombo.
The government and private institutes the business communities and people of Jaffna joined hands with the rest of the country to celebrate the 69th Independence Day on 4th February 2017 with much respect and honour by hoisting the National flags at their offices, business premises and residences irrespective of their religion and race.

Coincidence with the main event of Independence Day ceremony, Major General Mahesh Senanayake Commander SF (J) hoisted the National Flag at Headquarters Security Force (Jaffna) and observed two minute silence to remember the fallen war heroes.

Troops of SF (J) arranged Shramadana programmes and cleaned the Tellipalai Base Hospital. Meantime, the SF (Jaffna) had organized a range of community welfare programmes in Temples, Hospitals and Schools in addition to the events arranged in respective Headquarters.
