De - mining Lands were Handed Over to Civilians in Pachchilapalli

5.5 acres of land in Pachchilapalli Pradeshiya Sabha areas under detachment of 10 Field Engineer Regiment was handed over to the rightful owners by Brigadier Adeepa Thilakarathna, Commander 552 Brigade at a ceremony held in Muhamalai on 27th January 2017.

Sri Lanka Army under the government’s Resettlement project has initiated a long term programme for Internal Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Northern area. Mr. Sathyaseelan, Divisional Secretary Kilinochchi (Addl), Ms P. Jayarani, Secretary of Pachchilapalli Pradeshiya Sabha, Ms. S. Anushiya, Chairman Pachchilapalli Pradeshiya Sabha, Mr. Ranjith Bandara, Inspector of Police, Officer In Charge Pachchilapalli, Government Officials, Military Officers and civilians also participated in the event.
