 Army Fulfills Urgent Needs of Blood for Jaffna Teaching Hospital

On the request of the Jaffna Teaching Hospital Authority, 5th Corps of Engineer Service (5 CES) organized a blood donating campaign to fulfill the requirement of the hospital Blood Bank on Friday 20th January 2017.

Major Priyantha Hettiarachchi, Commanding Officer 5 CES, 6 Officers and 203 Soldiers serving under the 5CES at Kankesanthurai donated their blood when the Jaffna Blood Bank ran short of blood required by the patients waiting for urgent surgeries.

Dr. T. Visvethithan MOIC, Blood Bank Jaffna, Dr. M. Pratheepan MOIC, Blood Bank Tellipalai, Mr. T. Ravinathas, PHI Blood Bank, Teaching Hospital Jaffna, hospital staff gave their assistance to conduct this blood donation camp
